Meet Coach.
A trainer with a toolbox.

Most training chatbots can only answer from memory. Coach can open your dog's notebook, replay tonight's session, rewrite the plan, check the research and set a reminder to see how it went. And Coach shows you every step.

  • 65+ tools
  • Remembers every dog

Coach shows its work

Every time Coach uses a tool, the chat says so. You never have to wonder where an answer came from.

What's in the toolbox

65+ tools, grouped by what they do for you and your dog. Next to each group, the cards Coach leaves in the chat when it uses them.

Remembers your dog

Coach keeps a notebook for every dog: what scares them, what they love, how each week went. Coach reads it before answering and writes in it as you go, and can search your past chats for the thing you mentioned once, weeks ago.

Reads your training

Every rep you judge is recorded. Coach can replay a finished session rep by rep, follow along live while you train, look at the key frames from a clip, and move the session on when you ask.

Writes and edits plans

Coach writes step-by-step plans shaped around your dog, edits them as you learn, and saves every version so nothing is lost. Before writing one from scratch, Coach checks the library for a plan that already fits.

Goals, games and treats

Coach tracks what your dog has earned and sets new goals with you, starts proofing games that test a skill in new places, keeps the treat list ranked, and adds side trails to your dog’s Journey.

Checks the research

When the honest answer depends on evidence, Coach searches the published studies and answers from what they found, with the papers attached. For a hard question, Coach sends Professor off to dig deeper and report back.

  • Search published studiessearch_studies
  • Ask Professor for deep researchask_professor

Checks in on you

Coach can set itself a reminder to look in on you: the evening after a hard session, or the day a new step starts. When the time comes, Coach reads how training went and messages you first.

  • Schedule a check-inschedule_wakeup

Asks before it acts

Coach asks when it should: quick multiple-choice questions you can answer with a tap, and your say before anything is deleted. On bigger jobs Coach keeps a checklist you can watch tick along.

How Coach works

Errands in one trip

Some jobs mean doing one small thing many times: checking every note for a word, adding up a month of sessions. Instead of asking for each one, Coach writes a few lines of instructions and runs them all at once, in a sealed sandbox that can only use Coach's own tools. Only the answer comes back to Coach.

It's quicker, and your Coach energy goes further. The chat still shows every tool the script used and how many times, and you can peek at the script itself: each line lights up as it runs.

A light toolbelt

Coach keeps the everyday tools on its belt and fetches the specialist ones from the toolbox only when a conversation needs them. Less to carry means every reply starts light.

Helpers for the big jobs

Some questions deserve a long look. Coach hands those to a helper and carries on with you while it works.

  • Professor

Goes off to research a hard question properly, then reports back with the papers.

    ask_professor
  • The librarian

Knows every plan in the library and finds the ones that fit your dog.

    consult_plans
  • The web helper

Searches and reads the web, and brings back only what matters.

    ask_web_agent

Coach's rules

  • Kind methods only

No quick fixes that aren’t real, and no shortcuts that hurt your dog. Coach won’t suggest prong, choke or shock collars.

  • Cites, or says so

When Coach answers from research, the papers come with it. When the evidence isn’t there, Coach tells you.

  • Asks before deleting

Nothing in your dog’s notebook is removed until you say yes.

  • Shows every step

Every tool Coach uses leaves a line or a card in the chat, scripts included.

Under the hood

For the technically curious.
The model
Coach runs on Claude Opus 5.5, from Anthropic. Professor runs on Claude Fable 5.1 and works with Assistant, Claude Haiku 5.5, to read studies.
Code mode
Scripts are Lua, run in a sandbox with a fuel budget per script. Tool results stay inside the script as tables; only the return value reaches the model.
Tool search
Rarely used tools are deferred and found with server-side tool search, so they never sit in the prompt until a conversation needs them.
Skills
Long guides, like plan writing, load mid-conversation only when Coach needs them.
How it runs
Run a script: many steps in one go call_luaFetch a tool from the toolbox tool_search_tool_regexHand a side job to a helper task
