Purpose
Two things before the training starts: what this is for, and what it will never ask of you.

Why It Exists
To put force-free training that actually works in front of more people, sooner.
Both halves of that matter. Refusing to hurt a dog is the easy half; the hard half is competence. An owner whose kind method is not working will not stay kind for long, so good intentions in vague instructions do more harm than people think. What is in here is meant to be humane and specific enough to hold up in a real kitchen with a real dog.
Sooner matters because of what reaches people first. An owner who is struggling rarely finds a force-free trainer first. They find a shock collar, a prong, a confident video telling them to dominate their dog. By the time anyone offers them something kinder, harm has often already been done, and fear learned that way is far harder to undo than it was to cause.
Fewer dogs shocked, choked and frightened. That is the whole of it.
What This App Will Never Do
It will never ask you to hurt or frighten your dog.
No prong, choke, slip or shock collars. No leash corrections, alpha rolls, scruffing or pinning. No dominance framing. Not as a last resort, not for stubborn dogs, not for aggression. Those tools are not the advanced version of what is in here. See Gear and Methods to Avoid.
That is not neutrality about your struggle. When something is not working, the answer here is a smaller step, a better reinforcer, an easier room, or a professional in front of you. Never a consequence your dog has to endure.
A human being stands behind these positions. Coach holds them, but did not invent them. A qualified trainer wrote them and is accountable for them.
